Christopher Gullett, MD
Christopher Gullett, MD, joined Yavapai Cardiac Surgery in November 2024. Dr. Gullett received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston; he went on to complete a general surgery residency from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Gullett then completed his Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital. While at the Texas Heart Institute, his training included thoracic surgical oncology training at world-renown MD Anderson Cancer Center and an additional year of specialized training in cardiac transplant and mechanical assist devices with renown surgeon Dr. OH “Bud” Frazier. Dr. Gullett has been fortunate to work and operate with cardiac surgery pioneers such as Dr. Denton Cooley, Dr. Michael DeBakey and Dr. James “Red” Duke.
Dr Gullett remained in Texas for over a decade where he served as Chief of Surgery and Surgical ICU Director at College Station Medical Center. During his tenure in Texas, he was awarded a faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor with Texas A&M University’s Health Science Center.

Board certified in both general and cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. Gullett has also performed and maintains an interest in minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgeries, ECMO, vascular surgeries, and the care of patients who require all aspects of advanced cardiovascular procedures. Dr. Gullett is a member of the Cooley Hands Society, Cardiothoracic Surgery Network, Society of Thoracic Surgeons and Heart Failure Society of America.
Dr. Gullett has been married to his wife Franca for over 25 years; they have a twenty-two-year-old son in medical school, and a nineteen-year-old daughter in film school. He enjoys traveling, hiking and photography and is looking forward to capturing some beautiful local landscape images of our area.
